Looking Forward

When I signed up for the creative writing class at The University of Cambridge, I envisioned an elderly teacher with a tweed sports coat smoking a burled pipe.
When I learned that an American writer was the teacher, frankly, I was disappointed. But I want you to know that after reviewing your social media sites, it appears that you will be the perfect teacher for the advancement of my career, and I look forward to meeting you in person in May.

Connecting in 2025
Where do you go to connect? Like many people I've been watching online spaces become less social and more ad-driven. I'm looking for places and spaces to connect, and ways to do it.
How do you connect? Are you engaging online? Gathering in offline places?
I'd like to host an in-person monthly event with readings, food, laughter, and maybe music and dancing. If I create it, will you come?
